American Pharoah, early favorite at William Hill Haskell Invitational?

American Pharoah always takes the limelight wherever he goes. His super speed, great endurance, and awesome gallop make him really different from other thoroughbred racehorses. Now that the purse for Sunday’s William Hill Haskell Invitational increased from $1 million to $1.75 million, the prestigious race became more intense.

The added purse incentives are just right for the race especially if it involves the Triple Crown winner who’s going to gallop soon at the Monmouth Park. Many people can’t deny the fact that many punters and viewers favor the Zayat’s famous thoroughbred racehorse due to his skills and achievements in the race track.

American Pharoah, who has just swept the crown in the Belmont Stakes, became the 1-5 favorite in the field of eight. Sureenough, this horse will make another record soon. According to the horse trainer Bob Baffert, he’s confident that American Pharoah would run his race.

After having won four of the last five editions in the Haskell, Baffert is hoping to achieve a record of eighth wins.

“He’s trained very well and I don’t see anything that I feel would keep him from running a good race,” said the Hall of Fame trainer. “I feel very positive for this.”

No wonder, the Zayats who own the stallion are really excited to see him running on the track again. Ahmed Zayat and his family will be watching their American Pharoah on Sunday. However, there’s a rumor that the horse will end his career after racing in the $5 million Breeders’ Cup Classic at Keeneland in Lexington on Oct. 31. But Justin Zayat, the 23-year-old racing and stallion manager for his father, didn’t comment on that during his interview.

He just said that his family would take one race at a time. For the meantime, American Pharoah is expected to run over the track in the morning of Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, between 7:30 and 7:50 am, and the track will be open to the public on Friday and Saturday, from 7 – 8 am, for fans who want to see the stallion’s morning workouts.

I think this thoroughbred will win this race and will give another honor to his master and trainer. With all the odds in his favor, surely, he’s going to sweep another crown. Watch out for American Pharoah’s limelight in his master’s hometown – NewJersey!
