Amaya will soon be doubling its business by entering the world of sports betting and daily fantasy sports.
That’s according to Amaya Chairman and CEO David Baazov. He said that 2014 was a year of transition for the company, starting with the successful integration of PokerStars and Full Tilt into Amaya.
Although exactly how successful Amaya’s takeover of the two online poker sites has been is hard to tell, since Amaya is already performing well even before the acquisitions.
But if we’re looking at the numbers, Amaya Inc.’s revenues have more than tripled since the company’s PokerStars buyout.
The stellar increase in the company’s revenues after the PokerStars and Full Tilt is only one of the reasons why Amaya is making such a bold move.
The gaming company is actually planning to enter new markets in Asia, South America and the U.S. by creating demand and adding products that will attract both existing and new players.
A sports betting platform is now being tested in select markets while fantasy sports betting is preparing to be introduced ahead of the fall National Football League season.
What do you think? Is the company’s expansion on sports betting and daily fantasy sports a smart move? Will it be as successful as the PokerStars and Full Tilt acquisition?
